It&#8217;s not as popular as curry but more beneficial for the health. That&#8217;s why we wanted to share the uses and benefits of Tumeric with all SHA magazine readers.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Benefits<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Turmeric is rich in <strong>curcumin<\/strong>, one of the most studied ingredients, which contains <strong>therapeutic properties for a wide range of diseases<\/strong> such as <strong>cancer prevention<\/strong>. In addition, its use may provide many benefits as the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Helps prevent <strong>Alzheimer&#8217;s disease<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Helps relieve <strong>arthritis<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Improves digestion process<\/li>\n<li>Helps detoxify the liver<\/li>\n<li>It has <strong>antibacterial and antiseptic properties<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It heals wounds<\/li>\n<li>Helps in <strong>pulmonary and hepatic diseases<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Powerful <strong>anti-inflammatory that prevents infections<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Relieves cardiovascular problems<\/li>\n<li>Destroys cancer cells<\/li>\n<li>Relieves pain in <strong>neurological diseases<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>What is it used for?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Due to its many properties, natural herbal remedies with turmeric are often used to<strong> relieve stomach diseases<\/strong>, to <strong>recover from injuries, to treat asthma<\/strong> (due to its anti-inflammatory properties) and to treat pain related to <strong>menstrual cramps.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In addition, many studies have shown that curcumin can <strong>destroy cancer cells<\/strong> such as colon, pancreas and bone marrow cancer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>How is it used?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Due to its moustard-yellowish color it\u2019s used in cooking as a <strong>natural colourant<\/strong> for foods and to provide a <strong>sweet and lightly spicy taste<\/strong> to sauces and stews, just as curry. It\u2019s also used in the <strong>arabian cuisine<\/strong> in dishes like cous cous or chicken tajine. Due to its flavour it\u2019s a perfect substitute to moustard or saffron although it\u2019s recommended to use it in moderation because it can be too spicy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In order to get medicinal results is not enough adding it to your dishes. Nowadays it\u2019s easy to find it as<strong> supplements shape<\/strong> in natural stores.
