Today&#8217;s menu: <strong>brown rice with green asparagus.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Green asparagus are <strong>low a calorie food<\/strong>, rich in<strong> potassium, vitamins A,C,E and folate,<\/strong> which is perfect for pregnant women as it helps the correct fetal development. It\u2019s also a powerful antioxidant and its high content in water and fiber provide a <strong>diuretic and laxative effect.<\/strong><br \/>\nGreen asparagus combined with brown rice make a delicious combination: You will feel satisfied while eating healthy. In addition, you can always change the ingredients and adapt them to your personal taste. A great substitute for brown rice is <a href=\"https:\/\/shawellness.com\/shamagazine\/en\/cereals-properties-benefits-and-recipes-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">barley<\/a>, with which you will get a<strong> very detoxifying recipe.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Ingredients (3-4 servings)<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>1 bunch of <strong>green asparagus<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>1 cup of brown rice<\/li>\n<li><strong>2 leek, <\/strong>finely chopped<\/li>\n<li>2 cups of water<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd cups of <strong>corn<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Fresh basil finely chopped<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon of extra olive oil<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sea salt<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Preparation<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Wash the rice and boil with water and a pinch of sea salt for <strong>45 minutes.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Clean the asparagus removing the hard parts and chop the stems.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Saute\u00e9 the leeks<\/strong> with the olive oil and the sea salt for 5 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Add the asparagus and corn. Saute\u00e9 for 5 more minutes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Add the cooked rice<\/strong>.
