This middle-eastern dish is a delicious starter that can\u2019t go wrong. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">For the hummus lovers, you\u2019ll be glad to hear that it\u2019s actually very healthy.<\/span> The star ingredient, chickpeas, are a great source of minerals such as iron, <a href=\"https:\/\/shawellness.com\/shamagazine\/en\/what-is-zinc-functions-and-benefits\/\">zinc<\/a>, folate, manganese and copper as well as <a href=\"https:\/\/shawellness.com\/shamagazine\/en\/vegetable-proteins-as-a-quality-source-of-proteins\/\">plant-based protein<\/a> and fiber. All the other ingredients used are also very beneficial for your health like lemon, garlic, olive oil and cumin. Of course, there\u2019s a difference between store bought and homemade hummus, the latter being the healthy option as its all natural ingredients whilst the former contains additives. It\u2019s really easy to make at home, simply add all the ingredients into a blender or food processor, chop some vegetables like carrots or cucumbers \u00e0 la julienne as a replacement to chips and then serve!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Guacamole<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14562\" src=\"https:\/\/shawellness.com\/shamagazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/iStock_41470230_SMALL.jpg\" alt=\"avocado and guacamole\" width=\"848\" height=\"565\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Avocados have become very popular in the last couple of years.
