{"id":15274,"date":"2017-01-31T18:34:27","date_gmt":"2017-01-31T18:34:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shawellness.com\/shamagazine\/shamagazine\/?p=15274"},"modified":"2023-10-18T11:40:29","modified_gmt":"2023-10-18T09:40:29","slug":"how-to-have-healthy-bones","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shawellness.com\/shamagazine\/en\/how-to-have-healthy-bones\/","title":{"rendered":"How to have healthy bones"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The skeletal system<\/strong>, composed by our bones, <strong>supports the entire body<\/strong>, thus, <strong>it\u2019s important to keep it strong and healthy.<\/strong> Up <strong>until we\u2019re 30,<\/strong> the <strong>bones are regenerated quickly<\/strong>, however, <strong>passed this age<\/strong>, <strong>we lose more bone mass than what we regenerate.<\/strong> Therefore, it\u2019s <strong>important to nourish our bones with fresh and nutritious food,<\/strong> as well as lead a healthy lifestyle.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, as opposed to what people believe, <strong>we can obtain all the calcium and nutrients to nourish our bones without a single drop of <a href=\"https:\/\/shawellness.com\/shamagazine\/en\/why-to-follow-a-dairy-free-diet-2\/\">cow\u2019s milk.<\/a><\/strong> In fact, the <strong>countries that consume most dairy products<\/strong> are those who have the <strong>highest osteoporosis rates.<\/strong> Hence, <strong>bone health does not rely on drinking animal milk or any of its derivatives.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Acidic diets are one of the main issues when it comes to osteoporosis.<\/strong> A <strong>vegetarian diet is an easy way of ingesting a wide variety of foods<\/strong> rich in <strong>vitamins and minerals essential for bone health<\/strong>. <strong>Whole-wheat grains, legumes, fresh fruits, nuts, seeds and vegetables<\/strong> are r<strong>ich in calcium, zinc, manganese, magnesium and omega-3<\/strong>, providing all the <strong>nutrients we need to have healthy bones.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s important to r<strong>educe your intake of acidic foods like processed foods,<\/strong> <strong>refined carbohydrates<\/strong>, <strong>animal products, dairy products, alcohol, refined salt and sugar.<\/strong> All these foods <strong>deplete the bones from minerals like calcium.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, it is also <strong>important to exercise to prevent osteoporosis<\/strong>, at any given age. The best exercise you can do is weight-training exercises, as they stimulate the regeneration of bones and avoid loss of bone density.
