Furthermore, following menopause, a <strong>rapid loss of bone and muscle mass occurs,<\/strong> therefore, it\u2019s during this time where <strong>exercise becomes a women\u2019s best friend.<\/strong> Not only will it <strong>help prevent osteoporosis<\/strong>, but it will also <strong>tone the muscles and prevent weight-gain<\/strong> caused by hormonal fluctuations.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>What benefits does exercising have in menopausal women?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Favours <strong>blood circulation<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Strengthens<\/strong> the <strong>muscular skeletal system<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Prevents osteoporosis<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Prevents cardiovascular diseases<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Maintains <strong>muscular elasticity<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Improves <strong>physical coordination<\/strong> and <strong>mobility<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Boosts mood and energy<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Helps <strong>maintain <\/strong>a<strong> healthy weight<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As muscle mass begins to decrease significantly and continuously once a woman enters menopause, <strong>it\u2019s important to work the muscle tone a couple times a week.<\/strong> <strong>Weight training is extremely beneficial<\/strong> to strengthen the muscles and bones.
