To a certain extent, some of these factors can\u2019t be avoided, like the toxins in the air we breathe, however, <strong>many of them are within our control<\/strong>, such as <strong>the food we eat<\/strong> and <strong>the way we react towards stressful situations.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When the body is chronically inflamed, we\u2019re <strong>exposing it to premature aging<\/strong> as well as <strong>diseases<\/strong> like <strong>Alzheimer\u2019s, Parkinson\u2019s, multiple sclerosis, atherosclerosis, heart disease, type-II diabetes, osteoporosis <\/strong>and many other diseases.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inflammation is the body\u2019s natural and essential response to any harmful stimuli<\/strong> and is a <strong>crucial component of the immune system.<\/strong> Without it, our body wouldn\u2019t be able to react to the bite of a mosquito, for example. However, the <strong>chronic<\/strong> and <strong>systemic inflammation<\/strong> caused by<strong> today\u2019s lifestyle choices<\/strong> is what has <strong>lead to inflammaging.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Practically every <strong>packaged food<\/strong> or drink you can find in a supermarket nowadays would be <strong>categorized as an inflammation causing food<\/strong>. And who happens to eat these foods? <strong>Most people<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Processed foods are packed with additives, sugars, conservatives and chemicals<\/strong>. When they\u2019re eaten regularly, your <strong>body becomes chronically inflamed.<\/strong> As a consequence, you\u2019re increasing your risk of developing disease and accelerating the aging process.<\/p>\n<p>Have you ever heard the saying that y<strong>ou should only eat foods your grandparents would recognise as food<\/strong>? In that case, you should <strong>avoid eating processed foods<\/strong> and opt for <strong>natural organic foods instead<\/strong>, such as fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes and fish, just like nature intended.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Toxins are nearly everywhere nowadays<\/strong>, especially when you live in a city. But toxins aren\u2019t only found in the air we breathe, but also <strong>in the foods we eat.<\/strong> That\u2019s why it\u2019s important to <strong>eat whole organic foods that are free from pesticides and chemicals.<\/strong> Eating a healing diet will also<strong> help the liver detox<\/strong> from the inevitable toxins that get into our system.<\/p>\n<p>Without a doubt, <strong>stress is necessary to protect ourselves from potential threats<\/strong>, however, the stress we\u2019re experiencing nowadays has <strong>very detrimental effects on our health.<\/strong> When cortisol levels are frequently elevated, <strong>the body becomes chronically stressed<\/strong>, <strong>increasing inflammation<\/strong>. In fact, the elevated levels of inflammation in the body caused by chronic stress, <strong>suppresses the immune system by 40-70%.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In this fast-paced lifestyle we\u2019re living in where we need to juggle 1001 things,<strong> take time to breathe and relax.<\/strong> It\u2019s important to<strong> find your balance and not allow stress get to you.<\/strong> <strong>Meditate, exercise, walk in nature<\/strong> and <strong>enjoy quality time<\/strong> with your loved ones to <strong>disconnect, to reconnect.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Don\u2019t let this modern day lifestyle make you inflammage<\/strong> sooner than you should be aging!
