The Japanese carry out \u200b\u200ba lot of activities and events, that traditionally were intended to pray for a new crop and to welcome the spring. With spring comes the blooming period, which for the Japanese means change, a new beginning.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Featured Events and activities <strong> <strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/home\/?status=%20Haru%20Matsuri%20events%20and%20main%20activities%20https:\/\/shawellness.com\/shamagazine\/en\/haru-matsuri-spring-festival%20via%20@shawellnes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><\/a><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n<h5><strong>The Hanami<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Hanami comes from the words Hana (Flower) and miru (see)- \u201cSee flowers\u201d. During Hanami Japanese of all ages go to parts of the country where there are Sakura (cherry blossom). The main activity is the observation of the cherry trees.<\/p>\n<p>During the Hanami, a big picnic is made under the cherry trees, friends and relatives gather to eat (in their traditional bento boxes) and drink, be it, sake, beer or refreshments, and in general to <strong>enjoy of a magic floral setting <strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/home\/?status=%20During%20the%20Hanami,%20a%20big%20picnic%20is%20made%20under%20the%20cherry%20trees%20https:\/\/shawellness.com\/shamagazine\/en\/haru-matsuri-spring-festival%20%20via%20@shawellnes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><\/a><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>. Hanami is celebrated between late March and early April. Then in the Edo era, the samurais and the common people followed the tradition down to the present time.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>The great festival of Nikko Toshogu Shrine.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>With its climax being a<strong> spectacular procession of more than a thousand men dressed as samurai <strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/home\/?status=%20The%20great%20festival%20of%20Nikko%20Toshogu%20Shrine%20https:\/\/shawellness.com\/shamagazine\/en\/haru-matsuri-spring-festival%20via%20@shawellnes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><\/a><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong> <\/strong>. The symbol of the city of Nikko are the 3 wise monkeys, due to the large number of monkeys that had been in the area; even today we can see monkeys approaching tourists for food. It is a very dangerous festival in which the<strong> 5% of its participants are seriously injured<\/strong>, including broken spines.
