Consumo actual de az\u00facar<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Hoy en d\u00eda, una persona occidental consume de media m\u00e1s de 1kg de az\u00facar por semana, mientras que a finales del siglo XIX consum\u00edamos solo algo m\u00e1s de 2 kgs al a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>3. El az\u00facar est\u00e1 presente en m\u00e1s alimentos de los que pensamos<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El consumo de az\u00facar incluye los az\u00facares muy refinados que se incorporan en muchos de los alimentos que comemos habitualmente y que tal vez pensamos que no contienen az\u00facares (pan, mantequilla, condimentos, salsas, etc.). Es lo que se conoce como <strong>sacarosa<\/strong>, <strong>dextrosa<\/strong> (az\u00facar de ma\u00edz) o <strong>fructosa<\/strong> (presente en jarabes y salsas).<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>4 . Cuatro tipos de az\u00facar distintos<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Existen 4 clases de az\u00facares simples (<strong>sacarosa, fructosa, miel y maltas<\/strong>) y se consideran perjudiciales para la salud cuando su consumo a largo plazo supone m\u00e1s del 15% de las calor\u00edas de los carbohidratos ingeridos. Nuestro consejo: consumir hidratos de carbono complejos (verduras, legumbres, cereales integrales\u2026) es la mejor manera de mantener esta cifra por debajo del 15%.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>5 . El az\u00facar es una cuesti\u00f3n de salud<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Se ha demostrado que el consumo de az\u00facares simples contribuye y\/o agrava los problemas de salud, incluyendo enfermedades como: <strong>asma, trastornos del estado de \u00e1nimo, enfermedades mentales, trastornos nerviosos, diabetes, enfermedades del coraz\u00f3n, c\u00e1lculos renales, hipertensi\u00f3n<\/strong> o  <strong>artritis<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>6 . La insulina y el az\u00facar<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El az\u00facar eleva los niveles de insulina, la inhibici\u00f3n de la liberaci\u00f3n de hormonas de crecimiento que deprime el sistema inmunol\u00f3gico. Adem\u00e1s, <strong>un exceso de insulina promueve el almacenamiento de grasa<\/strong>, por lo que cuando comemos alimentos con alto contenido en az\u00facar, estamos permitiendo un r\u00e1pido aumento de peso y aumentando los niveles de triglic\u00e9ridos, los cuales a su vez tienen una estrecha relaci\u00f3n con las enfermedades cardiovasculares.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>7 . El az\u00facar y el tratamiento del c\u00e1ncer<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Resulta que el combustible preferido del c\u00e1ncer no es otro que la glucosa. Controlar los <strong>niveles de glucosa en sangre<\/strong> trav\u00e9s de una dieta sana, ejercicio diario, los suplementos alimenticios adecuados y la meditaci\u00f3n puede ser extremadamente importante para un <strong>programa de tratamiento contra el c\u00e1ncer<\/strong>.
