Sabemos los innumerables peligros de exponer al sol nuestra piel, nuestro cabello, pero no somos conscientes de que <strong>tambi\u00e9n nuestros ojos deben ser protegidos<\/strong> del exceso de radiaci\u00f3n solar.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Al permanecer muchas horas al aire libre y al sol es m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil que sometamos nuestros ojos a un <strong>exceso de radiaci\u00f3n ultravioleta<\/strong> que puede ocasionar sequedad ocular y con el tiempo llegar a desarrollar cataratas, tumores en los ojos o incluso c\u00e1ncer. Los estudios calculan que m\u00e1s de 3 millones de personas al a\u00f1o se quedan ciegas por este motivo.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Te presentamos una <strong>serie de recomendaciones realizadas por el Doctor Palomares, <a href=\"https:\/\/shawellness.com\/shamagazine\/unidad-oftalmologica-de-sha-wellness-clinic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">especialista de la Unidad Oftalmol\u00f3gica de SHA<\/a>, <\/strong> que te ayudar\u00e1n a <strong>evitar gran parte de los problemas que afectan a los ojos <\/strong>durante el verano, aunque debes tener en cuenta que es importante proteger nuestra vista de la luz solar durante todo el a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<h5>Recomendaciones<\/h5>\n<h5><\/h5>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Higiene ocular adecuada<\/strong> &#8211; Utiliza colirios y l\u00e1grimas artificiales de manera habitual para evitar la sequedad que producen las altas temperaturas. Si usas lentes de contacto mantenlas limpias y recuerda no llevarlas por m\u00e1s de 10 horas seguidas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Cuidado con las gafas de sol<\/strong> &#8211; Elegir unas gafas de sol adecuadas es esencial. No te dejes enga\u00f1ar por el color o el precio y aseg\u00farate de que tus gafas puedan bloquear el 100% de los rayos UVA.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>S\u00edndrome del ojo seco <\/strong>\u2013 El uso prolongado del aire acondicionado induce al llamado \u201cs\u00edndrome del ojo seco\u201d que provoca la disminuci\u00f3n de agudeza visual o sensaci\u00f3n de quemaz\u00f3n. Lo ideal es mantener la temperatura entre 21 a 26 grados.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Prot\u00e9gete dentro del agua <\/strong>\u2013 El cloro del agua de muchas piscinas puede causar irritaci\u00f3n, que hace que los ojos sean m\u00e1s sensibles a las radiaciones solares y ser el motor de muchas infecciones oculares. En verano es importante el cuidado e higiene de las lentillas.
