Todo esto tiene una explicaci\u00f3n, y es que, <strong>lo que comemos s\u00ed afecta a nuestro estado de \u00e1nimo. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00bfSab\u00edas que nuestro sistema digestivo contiene m\u00e1s de 100 millones de neuronas?<\/strong> El tejido de los intestinos tiene una red de neuronas que producen neurotransmisores que influyen en nuestro estado de \u00e1nimo, como la <strong>serotonina y dopamina<\/strong>. Estos neurotransmisores tienen funciones tanto f\u00edsicas como psicol\u00f3gicas. <strong>Influyen en el estado de \u00e1nimo, apetito, descanso, deseo sexual y bienestar general.<\/strong> Teniendo en cuenta que el<strong> 95% de la serotonina<\/strong> y el <strong>50% de la dopamina<\/strong> se encuentran en<strong> el sistema digestivo<\/strong>, hay una conexi\u00f3n importante entre la dieta y el estado de \u00e1nimo.<\/p>\n<p>Ya que el sistema digestivo tiene cientos de millones de neuronas, suele denominarse <strong>\u00abel segundo cerebro\u00bb<\/strong>. Este segundo cerebro tambi\u00e9n se conoce como el sistema nervioso ent\u00e9rico. <strong>El sistema nervioso ent\u00e9rico manda y recibe impulsos, registra experiencias y responde a las emociones.<\/strong> Alrededor de un tercio del sistema nervioso pasa por el sistema digestivo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Todos hemos sentido mariposas en el est\u00f3mago, o se nos ha cortado el apetito cuando nos ponemos nerviosos.<\/strong> Estos s\u00edntomas son reacciones de nuestro sistema nervioso ent\u00e9rico. <strong>Nuestras emociones pueden afectar a nuestro sistema digestivo al igual que nuestro sistema digestivo puede afectar a nuestras emociones.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h5>\u00bfC\u00f3mo afecta lo que comemos en nuestro estado de \u00e1nimo?<\/h5>\n<p>Cada alimento tiene un efecto distinto en nuestro sistema digestivo y nos hace sentir de una manera. Por ello, es <strong>importante comer alimentos ricos en nutrientes<\/strong> y evitar comer alimentos que hacen que nuestro sistema digestivo reaccione de forma negativa, y como consecuencia, afecte nuestro estado de \u00e1nimo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>El cerebro requiere ciertos nutrientes para un buen funcionamiento<\/strong>, con lo cual, es importante tener una <strong>dieta rica en vitaminas y minerales<\/strong> para darle la m\u00e1ximo potencia a este \u00f3rgano tan importante. <strong>Una dieta rica en comida procesada, az\u00facar y grasas no saludables puede incrementar los niveles de depresi\u00f3n, ansiedad, cambios de humor y reducir los niveles de energ\u00eda.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Los alimentos ricos en az\u00facar y carbohidratos refinados<\/strong>, tambi\u00e9n conocidos por ser calor\u00edas vac\u00edas ya que no contienen ninguna aprotaci\u00f3n nutritiva,<strong> pueden ser muy perjudiciales para el sistema digestivo, la salud y el estado de \u00e1nimo.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Para que el est\u00f3mago pueda crear los neurotransmisores necesarios para sentirnos bien,<\/strong> la serotonina y dopamina,<strong> requiere ciertos nutrientes que aportan los alimentos<\/strong>. Por ejemplo, requiere <strong>vitamina b12, hierro y \u00e1cido f\u00f3lico (vitamina b9)<\/strong>. Otros nutrientes esenciales que mejoran el estado de \u00e1nimo son <strong>tript\u00f3fano, omega-3 y selenio<\/strong>.
