Las hierbas y la dieta son pilares esenciales de la salud y el bienestar. Sin embargo, es importante destacar un elemento muy importante de nuestra relaci\u00f3n con la alimentaci\u00f3n y el bienestar f\u00edsico. No todo se trata de calor\u00edas o nutrientes. El lugar donde comemos tambi\u00e9n es importante. \u00bfC\u00f3mo nos sentimos cuando comemos? \u00bfCu\u00e1les son nuestras emociones a medida que comemos y digerimos?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aqu\u00ed volvemos al viejo dicho \u00abconf\u00eda en tu intestino\u00bb<\/strong>. En la MTC, el v\u00ednculo entre el intestino y todos los \u00f3rganos del cuerpo ha sido reconocido desde hace miles de a\u00f1os. La manera en que nuestro intestino responde a la vida puede indicar c\u00f3mo somos emocionalmente. Volvemos a casa exhaustos, cogemos la primera bolsa de patatas o vamos a por la botella de vino como un \u00abme merezco esto\u00bb. O sentimos, \u00abno puedo soportar esto\u00bb. Ser consciente de nuestro intestino y de lo que est\u00e1 sucediendo deber\u00eda ser una pr\u00e1ctica de autoconciencia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 es exactamente el intestino?<\/strong> En la medicina occidental, el intestino se refiere a todo el sistema gastrointestinal; desde donde tragamos los alimentos hasta donde son eliminados. La concepci\u00f3n de la MTC del intestino es ligeramente diferente: nos centramos m\u00e1s en el bazo y el est\u00f3mago.<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, la MTC se ocupa de otras partes del sistema gastrointestinal, por ejemplo, el intestino grueso, que adem\u00e1s de la funci\u00f3n de eliminaci\u00f3n tiene un papel muy importante en el sistema inmunol\u00f3gico. <strong>Emocionalmente dir\u00edamos que un intestino grueso bloqueado significa que tenemos una dificultad para poder \u00absoltarlo\u00bb.<\/strong> El intestino delgado, adem\u00e1s de su papel en la absorci\u00f3n y distribuci\u00f3n de nutrientes, tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 emocionalmente asociado con el \u00abestado de \u00e1nimo\u00bb. <strong>Cuando nuestro estado de \u00e1nimo est\u00e1 bajo, normalmente tambi\u00e9n tendremos algunos problemas con el intestino delgado.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>El bazo es muy importante en la MTC<\/strong>, aunque no es un \u00f3rgano del que se hable mucho. El bazo se encuentra en la parte superior izquierda del abdomen, detr\u00e1s de las costillas, debajo del diafragma y por encima y por detr\u00e1s del est\u00f3mago. En la medicina occidental este \u00f3rgano se asocia principalmente con el sistema inmunol\u00f3gico y ayuda a combatir las infecciones, mientras que tambi\u00e9n filtra las c\u00e9lulas da\u00f1adas y viejas fuera de nuestro torrente sangu\u00edneo. <strong>En la MTC es una parte integral de nuestro intestino y hablamos mucho de este, en particular en la sociedad moderna.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Por eso hay que recordar a nuestros pacientes que piensen en \u00abdesde d\u00f3nde est\u00e1n comiendo\u00bb. <strong>En la MTC el bazo tiene dos funciones: una es ayudar con la absorci\u00f3n de la nutrici\u00f3n y la segunda es alimentar la mente.<\/strong> As\u00ed que comer mientras se lee una revista, o estar al tel\u00e9fono, o durante un almuerzo de negocios pone a este peque\u00f1o \u00f3rgano en una posici\u00f3n de conflicto de intereses. Termina pregunt\u00e1ndote: \u00ab\u00bfQu\u00e9 es lo que quieres? \u00bfAlimentar tu mente o alimentar tu cuerpo?\u00bb Para ayudar a equilibrar esto, se sugiere comer y, literalmente, s\u00f3lo comer. <strong>Apagar la mente, bajar el modo de productividad, y por unos momentos disfrutar de su comida.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En la MTC, adem\u00e1s de lo que comemos, tambi\u00e9n hay que pensar en que los alimentos no son s\u00f3lo calor\u00edas, <strong>sino que tienen energ\u00eda asociada<\/strong>. Estamos absolutamente de acuerdo en que el bienestar f\u00edsico est\u00e1 directamente relacionado con la salud intestinal, simplemente a\u00f1adimos la salud mental a la salud f\u00edsica intestinal.
