Seg\u00fan el <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">American Institute of Cancer Research<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">, la elecci\u00f3n de alimentos solo afecta al pH de la orina y no al de la sangre. El organismo tiene sus propios <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">mecanismos de autorregulaci\u00f3n<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\"> y realiza diversas funciones para mantener su homeostasis, garantizando as\u00ed que tanto el pH sangu\u00edneo como el de los tejidos y las c\u00e9lulas no fluct\u00fae de forma significativa para que sea compatible con la vida (entre 7,35 y 7,45). En cambio, el pH de la orina s\u00ed parece variar considerablemente seg\u00fan la <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">elecci\u00f3n de alimentos<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\"> y puede oscilar entre 4,6 y 8. Adem\u00e1s, la acidificaci\u00f3n o la alcalinizaci\u00f3n de la orina es uno de los mecanismos que el organismo utiliza para <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">mantener el pH dentro del rango deseado<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201d.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Los alimentos considerados <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">alcalinos<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\"> incluyen principalmente fuentes vegetales, como las verduras sin almid\u00f3n (remolacha, acelgas, espinacas, col rizada), las frutas (albaricoques, higos, d\u00e1tiles), las jud\u00edas, <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">la soja y sus derivados<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">. Entre los <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00e1cidos<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">, se encuentran la carne, el pescado, el marisco, los huevos (especialmente la yema), el caf\u00e9, los <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">productos l\u00e1cteos<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\"> (sobre todo el queso), los cereales, como la pasta, el arroz o el pan, y los alimentos grasos, como el beicon, el alcohol o los cacahuetes.
