Laura Enciso, psic\u00f3loga de SHA.<\/p>\n<p>El tabaquismo es una de las mayores amenazas para la salud p\u00fablica y se estima que cada a\u00f1o fallecen m\u00e1s de ocho millones de personas en todo el mundo por causas directas o indirectas relacionadas con el h\u00e1bito. No es solo nuestra salud, sino la de quienes nos rodean.<\/p>\n<p>Dejar de fumar es una de las terapias que necesitan una mayor implicaci\u00f3n del paciente. Sin su voluntad no hay margen para la maniobra. \u201c<em>Debe ser una motivaci\u00f3n personal, no de tus familiares o tu entorno. Es una decisi\u00f3n que implica que cada uno ponga su acci\u00f3n ah\u00ed. El profesional te va a ayudar en el objetivo, pero debes ser t\u00fa quien pases a la acci\u00f3n e implicarte<\/em>\u201d, asegura la especialista de SHA.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Una doble vertiente: f\u00edsica y psicol\u00f3gica<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Fumar es una adicci\u00f3n porque tiene un componente f\u00edsico adem\u00e1s de psicol\u00f3gico. Curiosamente, se relaciona fumar con relajaci\u00f3n cuando realmente fumar es un estimulante. Pero hemos relacionado momentos de relax con fumar.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Cuando fumamos al hacer un descanso, nuestra mente hace una asociaci\u00f3n entre fumar y relajaci\u00f3n, que no es real. Porque la nicotina tiene un componente f\u00edsico. Es como una droga y tienes que pasar un s\u00edndrome de abstinencia, que viene a durar entre un mes y medio y dos meses<\/em>\u201d, destaca la Dra. Laura Enciso.<\/p>\n<p>La adicci\u00f3n al tabaco tiene tres componentes: f\u00edsico (nicotina y receptores en el cerebro), psicol\u00f3gico (asociaci\u00f3n del cigarro con momentos de ocio o relajaci\u00f3n) y autom\u00e1tico (tener algo en la mano).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEn su abordaje hay que contemplar estos tres factores y hacer un proceso de reeducaci\u00f3n. No tiene por qu\u00e9 ser un proceso muy largo, pero hay que tomar la decisi\u00f3n de decidir si realmente se quiere abandonar el h\u00e1bito\u201d, se\u00f1ala la especialista.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Un abordaje integral con objetivos realistas<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>A la hora de afrontar una terapia antitab\u00e1quica, lo primero que se debe hacer es un estudio del fumador para valorar cu\u00e1ntos cigarrillos se consumen al d\u00eda, cu\u00e1les son sus rutinas respecto al tabaco, en qu\u00e9 momentos se fuma m\u00e1s, en qu\u00e9 momentos se hace menos, cu\u00e1l es el cigarrillo que m\u00e1s le va a costar dejar\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Hay que hacer un peque\u00f1o estudio de su d\u00eda a d\u00eda. Y despu\u00e9s se debe plantear los objetivos y comenzar a abordarlos conjuntamente. Evidentemente, deben ser objetivos realistas<\/em>\u201d, advierte la Dra. Laura Enciso.<\/p>\n<p>El tratamiento se aborda de forma disciplinar con diferentes profesionales: el coach motivacional establece los objetivos a tratar y luego se debe tener en cuenta la valoraci\u00f3n del especialista en problemas de adicciones y terapias alternativas, como pueden ser el yoga o la meditaci\u00f3n. Y todo ello supervisado por el coach.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>El paso fundamental en la terapia es que el profesional haga ser consciente de la adicci\u00f3n que est\u00e1 teniendo tanto f\u00edsica como psicol\u00f3gica<\/em>\u201d, resume la especialista de SHA.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tratamientos antitabaco en SHA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lo m\u00e1s importante para dejar de consumir cigarrillos es la voluntad firme del fumador. A partir de ah\u00ed, ponerse en manos expertas ayudar\u00e1 notablemente a abandonar el h\u00e1bito.<\/p>\n<p>No se trata tanto de exponer qu\u00e9 conlleva el tabaquismo (c\u00e1ncer, enfermedades card\u00edacas, vasculares y pulmonares cr\u00f3nicas) como de ser consciente de los beneficios f\u00edsicos y psicol\u00f3gicos que tiene una vida libre de h\u00e1bito.<\/p>\n<p>Lograr que los fumadores abandonen el h\u00e1bito supone un reto importante.
