Es la conclusi\u00f3n general que se encuentra detr\u00e1s del concepto de \u201cemocional eating\u201d, detectar c\u00f3mo nuestro estado emocional influye en nuestra alimentaci\u00f3n y, en consecuencia, en nuestra salud.<\/p>\n<p>Es obvio que las emociones afectan a nuestros h\u00e1bitos y tiene sus consecuencias. Cada individuo procesa su estado de \u00e1nimo de forma bien diferente en relaci\u00f3n a la comida. Un mismo hecho que impacta en nuestra mente no tiene un mismo comportamiento en dos personas diferentes: mientras unos tienden a comer m\u00e1s para rebajar un estado de ansiedad, otros pueden comer menos.<\/p>\n<p>Se trata de identificar c\u00f3mo gestionamos nuestras emociones en el d\u00eda a d\u00eda y de qu\u00e9 manera afecta a nuestros h\u00e1bitos alimenticios. Atacando el fondo del problema quiz\u00e1 encontremos una respuesta a nuestros des\u00f3rdenes alimenticios, ya sea bulimia, obesidad, inapetencia, atracones, etc.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCuando estamos con conciencia plena en el acto de comer, realizaremos mejores digestiones y tendremos una correcta asimilaci\u00f3n de los alimentos. Tambi\u00e9n podremos quemar mejor las calor\u00edas adecuadas y todo ello repercutir\u00e1 en nuestro peso. Seremos conscientes de si estamos comiendo por hambre f\u00edsica o por hambre emocional\u201d, afirma la Dra. Laura Enciso, psic\u00f3loga de SHA.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>La influencia de las emociones en nuestros h\u00e1bitos<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>La revista cient\u00edfica Journal of Eating Disorders public\u00f3 recientemente un interesante trabajo en el que se propuso estudiar c\u00f3mo un estado de \u00e1nimo y su gesti\u00f3n influ\u00edan en nuestros h\u00e1bitos alimenticios. Los participantes respaldaron el uso de actividad f\u00edsica, el control de sus conductas alimentarias y la participaci\u00f3n en estrategias alternativas de reducci\u00f3n del estr\u00e9s y afrontamiento para mitigar los efectos indeseados de su alimentaci\u00f3n emocional.<\/p>\n<p>Asimismo, los participantes en el estudio expresaron su preocupaci\u00f3n por las consecuencias de un estado de \u00e1nimo en su peso, imagen corporal y salud.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEstos resultados sugieren que los programas que promueven el ejercicio, la alimentaci\u00f3n consciente (mindful eating), la regulaci\u00f3n de las emociones y el cuidado de la imagen corporal podr\u00edan tener un efecto positivo en quienes luchan por mantener un peso saludable\u201d, a\u00f1adieron  los autores del estudio en sus conclusiones.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Estrategias para abordar el hambre y la saciedad <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Los esfuerzos para regular el consumo de alimentos se suelen relacionar con la consciencia de las se\u00f1ales de hambre y saciedad, as\u00ed como con los intentos de utilizar estrategias alternativas de afrontamiento para abordar las emociones negativas. Por lo tanto, es una alternativa muy factible procurar beneficiarse del aprendizaje de estrategias para regular la ingesta de alimentos, como pueden ser las t\u00e9cnicas de alimentaci\u00f3n consciente.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEstas t\u00e9cnicas pueden ayudarles a atender mejor sus se\u00f1ales internas de hambre y saciedad para guiarlos sobre cu\u00e1ndo y cu\u00e1nto comer. Los programas que involucran estrategias de regulaci\u00f3n de las emociones tambi\u00e9n ser\u00edan \u00fatiles, como los que ense\u00f1an a los consumidores emocionales a utilizar mecanismos de afrontamiento m\u00e1s saludables, como el apoyo social y el autocuidado, cuando experimentan emociones negativas\u201d, destac\u00f3 el estudio referido.<\/p>\n<p>Los resultados de todos los trabajos relacionados con el emotional eating advierten de la importancia de proponer planes integrativos, un abordaje desde un punto de vista global que involucre diferentes \u00e1reas terap\u00e9uticas.<\/p>\n<p>As\u00ed, se insta a promover el ejercicio por su utilidad tanto en t\u00e9rminos de regulaci\u00f3n del peso como de reducci\u00f3n del estr\u00e9s. Diferentes estudios han encontrado un efecto protector de la actividad f\u00edsica sobre el aumento de peso en personas con problemas alimenticios con su ra\u00edz en las emociones.<\/p>\n<p>Igualmente, los programas que apuntan a que la mejora de la imagen corporal tambi\u00e9n podr\u00eda redundar positivamente en un buen estado general de salud y bienestar para este grupo de personas.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>SHA, nutrici\u00f3n y salud<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>La gesti\u00f3n de las emociones es un aspecto fundamental en la elaboraci\u00f3n de cualquier plan de salud. A cualquier nivel, incluidos los problemas alimenticios y des\u00f3rdenes como el sobrepeso.<\/p>\n<p>Dentro de sus propuestas terap\u00e9uticas aparece como una de las bases la elaboraci\u00f3n de dietas y planes de salud absolutamente personalizados. Y dentro de este abordaje, tambi\u00e9n se ofrece la posibilidad de realizar sesiones de emotional eating.<\/p>\n<p>A trav\u00e9s de un diagn\u00f3stico inicial, lo que se pretende es identificar las causas psicol\u00f3gicas y emocionales que generan la dificultad para mantener h\u00e1bitos saludables y un peso \u00f3ptimo. Por medio de t\u00e9cnicas espec\u00edficas se ense\u00f1a c\u00f3mo gestionar las conductas relacionadas con la adicci\u00f3n o rechazo a la comida.
