Este conjunto de microorganismos, que habita en el intestino, cumple m\u00faltiples funciones necesarias para la salud digestiva y general del organismo. <em>\u201cAyuda a regular el sistema nervioso central, sintetiza neurotransmisores, modula el sistema inmunitario y tiene una acci\u00f3n metab\u00f3lica que favorece la digesti\u00f3n y la absorci\u00f3n de nutrientes. Cuando se desequilibra (el t\u00e9rmino m\u00e9dico es disbiosis intestinal), deja de realizar est\u00e1s funciones y aparecen los trastornos digestivos\u201d<\/em>, afirma la doctora.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Para evitarlo, la mejor soluci\u00f3n es seguir una dieta equilibrada y variada, rica en inulina, almid\u00f3n resistente y otras fibras. La fibra se encuentra fundamentalmente en los vegetales, las frutas, y las legumbres. Adem\u00e1s, los fermentados (probi\u00f3ticos naturales) tambi\u00e9n ayudan a enriquecer la microbiota.
