Pero respirar bien es m\u00e1s complicado porque la mayor\u00eda respiramos por el pecho y los hombros cuando deber\u00edamos hacerlo por las costillas y el diafragma. Y hacer mal algo que repetimos unas 25.000 veces al d\u00eda tiene sus consecuencias. Aprovechando el D\u00eda Mundial del Bienestar, y con el objetivo de saber m\u00e1s sobre el poder curativo de la respiraci\u00f3n, hemos hablado con Rachel Rose, experta en Mind &amp; Body de SHA. Le sorprender\u00e1 saber que, adem\u00e1s de todos los beneficios que aporta f\u00edsica, mental y emocionalmente, respirar bien tambi\u00e9n es un tratamiento anti-aging.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cLa respiraci\u00f3n tiene m\u00faltiples beneficios fisiol\u00f3gicos, como la oxigenaci\u00f3n de la sangre, el bombeo del diafragma o el movimiento de la linfa y del l\u00edquido cerebroespinal. Pero tambi\u00e9n influye en el estado de \u00e1nimo. Por eso, las emociones se manifiestan a trav\u00e9s de la respiraci\u00f3n: no respira igual una persona que est\u00e1 ri\u00e9ndose que otra que acaba de llevarse un susto. Es decir, las emociones cambian la respiraci\u00f3n y la respiraci\u00f3n puede cambiar las emociones\u201d<\/em>, afirma Rachel.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>T\u00e9cnicas de respiraci\u00f3n para reducir el estr\u00e9s y dormir mejor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El cl\u00e1sico \u2018respira hondo y cuenta hasta 10\u2019 al que todos hemos recurrido en un momento de estr\u00e9s, dudas, nerviosismo o ansiedad es un buen ejemplo de c\u00f3mo la respiraci\u00f3n y nuestro bienestar est\u00e1n estrechamente relacionados. <em>\u201cUna respiraci\u00f3n consciente y equilibrada, en la que la espiraci\u00f3n dura un poco m\u00e1s que la inspiraci\u00f3n, rebaja tanto las ondas cerebrales como el ritmo cardiaco\u201d<\/em>, a\u00f1ade la experta.<\/p>\n<p>Pero Rachel avisa:<em> \u201cLo que nunca debemos hacer es respirar por la boca porque se seca y la saliva deja de proteger los dientes. Cuando respiramos por la nariz, el aire pasa por una serie de membranas que lo humedecen, lo filtran y lo calientan. Pero, al respirar por la boca, esto no sucede, lo que puede provocar que los pulmones se irriten. Y, poco a poco, va cambiando la posici\u00f3n de la mand\u00edbula, que baja y se desplaza hacia delante, creando una expresi\u00f3n de tristeza que nos echa unos cuantos a\u00f1os encima. Adem\u00e1s, al respirar correctamente, tambi\u00e9n estamos trabajando la musculatura de la garganta, lo que evita que la piel del cuello se descuelgue prematuramente\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Respiraci\u00f3n y sue\u00f1o<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La mejor soluci\u00f3n para respirar correctamente cuando estamos dormidos es respirar bien mientras estamos despiertos. <em>\u201cSi una persona respira mal durante el d\u00eda, tendr\u00e1 el diafragma muy subido y, al tumbarse bocarriba en la cama, echar\u00e1 la cabeza hacia atr\u00e1s, arqueando el tronco. En esta posici\u00f3n, la respiraci\u00f3n es muy forzada y es probable que empiece a roncar, interrumpiendo el sue\u00f1o reparador que todos necesitamos\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Para que a partir de hoy duermas a pierna suelta, Rachel nos da dos t\u00e9cnicas de respiraci\u00f3n que favorecen la relajaci\u00f3n y ayudan a conciliar el sue\u00f1o. \u201c<em>La primera es respirar varias veces \u00fanicamente por la fosa nasal izquierda. Y la segunda es la t\u00e9cnica 4-4-2: cuenta hasta cuatro mientras inspiras, cuenta hasta cuatro mientras espiras y, despu\u00e9s, haz una pausa con los pulmones vac\u00edos contando hasta dos\u201d.<\/em> Buenas noches.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Respirar es muy sencillo: inspirar, espirar, inspirar, espirar\u2026 y as\u00ed una y otra vez.
