Y es que, cuando la radiaci\u00f3n ultravioleta alcanza las capas m\u00e1s profundas de la piel, se produce un aumento en la producci\u00f3n de radicales libres, que son los responsables del llamado estr\u00e9s oxidativo.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Como nos comenta Marina Domene, nutricionista de SHA, <em>\u201cestas mol\u00e9culas tienen una reactividad qu\u00edmica bastante elevada, lo que provoca el deterioro de la piel. Pero es importante entender que los radicales libres no son malos por s\u00ed mismos. De hecho, el cuerpo los genera de manera natural, por ejemplo, al obtener energ\u00eda cuando hacemos deporte. Adem\u00e1s, son la primera l\u00ednea de defensa cuando el organismo detecta un virus o nos hacemos una herida\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Eso s\u00ed, no todos los radicales libres son iguales ni desempe\u00f1an la misma funci\u00f3n. <em>\u201cLos que deber\u00edamos evitar son los ex\u00f3genos, como los causados por el tabaco, el alcohol, los hidrocarburos de la poluci\u00f3n o el exceso de exposici\u00f3n solar sin la fotoprotecci\u00f3n adecuada. El principal problema es cuando existe un desequilibrio entre la producci\u00f3n y la eliminaci\u00f3n de esos radicales\u201d<\/em>, a\u00f1ade Marina.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Los antioxidantes son los encargados de inhibir la producci\u00f3n end\u00f3gena de radicales libres y de reparar los da\u00f1os que provocan. La doctora nos los explica: <em>\u201cel radical libre es como un ladr\u00f3n y el antioxidante, la polic\u00eda, que lo captura, lo mete preso y evita que genere da\u00f1os en nuestro sistema\u201d<\/em>. Aunque el cuerpo humano fabrica antioxidantes de manera natural, como el glutati\u00f3n, el m\u00e1s potente de todos, tambi\u00e9n podemos obtenerlos a trav\u00e9s de la alimentaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Alimentos antioxidantes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Una dieta rica en frutas y verduras frescas y prescindir de los alimentos procesados es la clave para prevenir y reparar los da\u00f1os provocados por la exposici\u00f3n solar prolongada. Aqu\u00ed te explicamos cu\u00e1les son los antioxidantes m\u00e1s potentes y d\u00f3nde encontrarlos.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Vitamina E:<\/strong> los tocoferoles evitan los da\u00f1os en la membrana celular del tejido adiposo, cerebral y de la piel y los encontrar\u00e1s en las avellanas, las almendras y el aceite de oliva.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Vitamina C:<\/strong> el \u00e1cido asc\u00f3rbico evita la formaci\u00f3n de las nitrosaminas cancer\u00edgenas, previene la oxidaci\u00f3n del colesterol LDL y el da\u00f1o en el ADN y reduce la formaci\u00f3n de manchas y arrugas. Son fuente de vitamina C las hortalizas y las frutas frescas y crudas, sobre todo, los c\u00edtricos, las grosellas, las espinacas, el perejil y las coles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Vitamina A:<\/strong> tiene un efecto protector sobre los epitelios de la piel y las mucosas. En los alimentos de origen vegetal, se encuentra en forma de provitamina A, es decir, de caroteno. Entre los carotenoides m\u00e1s destacados est\u00e1n los betacarotenos, que se encuentran en las zanahorias, el boniato y el mel\u00f3n; los licopenos, en la sand\u00eda y el pomelo, y la lute\u00edna y la zeaxantina, que evitan la degradaci\u00f3n a nivel ocular, y que est\u00e1n presentes en los vegetales de hoja verde, como las acelgas, los guisantes, los puerros o el br\u00f3coli.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Polifenoles:<\/strong> proporcionan protecci\u00f3n cardiovascular y evitan el envejecimiento de la piel. Los encontrar\u00e1s en los frutos rojos, el t\u00e9 verde, el t\u00e9 kukicha o el miso.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u00c1cido lipoico:<\/strong> regenera los antioxidantes presentes en los alimentos.
