Como explica Cinthya Molina, psic\u00f3loga de SHA, \u201cexisten dos tipos fundamentales. La <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">depresi\u00f3n ex\u00f3gena<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, que est\u00e1 provocada por factores externos, como la muerte de un ser querido, una ruptura de pareja o la p\u00e9rdida del trabajo. Es decir, un <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">acontecimiento traum\u00e1tico<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> desencadena el trastorno que se suele superar a medida que la persona aprende a aceptar la situaci\u00f3n que lo ha causado. En cambio, la <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">depresi\u00f3n end\u00f3gena<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> se debe a factores biol\u00f3gicos, como los genes o las hormonas, y suele estar relacionada con desequilibrios en la qu\u00edmica cerebral y con la predisposici\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica. Los <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">antecedentes familiares<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> juegan un papel importante, aunque no determinante, en el riesgo de sufrir depresi\u00f3n. Y no solo a nivel gen\u00e9tico, sino tambi\u00e9n en el <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">aprendizaje de modelos<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">: si, por ejemplo, uno de los progenitores ha sufrido depresi\u00f3n durante gran parte de su vida, la probabilidad de que alguno de los hijos repita esos patrones aumenta\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00bfC\u00f3mo tratamos la depresi\u00f3n en SHA?<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">La depresi\u00f3n es un <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">trastorno multifactorial<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, por lo que la mejor manera de abordarla es con un <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">enfoque integral<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> que combine distintas disciplinas y \u00e1reas m\u00e9dicas. El <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">tratamiento farmacol\u00f3gico<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> es la opci\u00f3n m\u00e1s r\u00e1pida y habitual, pero no la m\u00e1s saludable, y, adem\u00e1s, \u00fanicamente trata los s\u00edntomas y <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">no llega a la ra\u00edz del problema<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. Por eso, en SHA solo lo recomendamos en los casos m\u00e1s graves. Como explica Cinthya, \u201cel primer paso es un <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">buen diagn\u00f3stico<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. Mucha gente llega a mi consulta creyendo estar deprimida cuando lo cierto es que est\u00e1 pasando una mala racha. En SHA combinamos la <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">terapia cognitivo conductual<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, que es la \u00fanica que la evidencia cient\u00edfica ha demostrado que reduce la sintomatolog\u00eda del trastorno depresivo, con la <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">fotobiomodulaci\u00f3n<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> y la <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">estimulaci\u00f3n el\u00e9ctrica transcraneal<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, dos tecnolog\u00edas desarrolladas por la NASA y la Escuela de Medicina de Harvard, que estimulan las \u00e1reas del cerebro involucradas en el estado de \u00e1nimo, como el <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">c\u00f3rtex frontal<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. Adem\u00e1s, como <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">la salud mental y la digestiva est\u00e1n estrechamente relacionadas<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, eliminar de la dieta los alimentos ultraprocesados y los az\u00facares, que crean mucha neblina mental, es indispensable. En SHA apostamos por una <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nutrici\u00f3n saludable y terap\u00e9utica<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> basada en productos frescos y de temporada que es muy beneficiosa para recuperar esa sensaci\u00f3n de bienestar que nos aleja de los malos pensamientos. En los casos de depresi\u00f3n es aconsejable incluir alimentos ricos en <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">tript\u00f3fano<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, un amino\u00e1cido esencial y precursor de la serotonina y de la melatonina, las hormonas que regulan el humor, el placer y los ciclos del sue\u00f1o. Son fuente de tript\u00f3fano las <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">verduras de hoja verde<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> (espinacas, berros, br\u00f3coli), las legumbres (garbanzos, lentejas, soja), los frutos secos (almendras, nueces), los <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">cereales integrales<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> (avena, espelta), las semillas (calabaza, s\u00e9samo) y las <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">algas<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. Tambi\u00e9n, realizamos un plan de ejercicio personalizado, ya que durante la <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">actividad f\u00edsica<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> el organismo libera serotonina y dopamina, se reducen los niveles de cortisol, que es la hormona del estr\u00e9s, y se favorece un descanso reparador.
