Por eso, las enfermedades f\u00edsicas se proyectan en la esfera emocional, y viceversa.<\/h6>\n<p>Como nos cuenta Cinthya Molina, psic\u00f3loga de SHA, \u201c<em>la Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Salud define la salud mental no solo como la <strong>ausencia de trastornos mentales,<\/strong> sino como un estado completo y equilibrado de bienestar f\u00edsico, mental y social en el que cada individuo pueda desarrollar todas sus capacidades, <strong>hacer frente al estr\u00e9s normal de la vida diaria<\/strong>, trabajar de forma productiva y contribuir a la comunidad. En definitiva, implica un <strong>sentido positivo<\/strong> que combina el bienestar individual con el funcionamiento en sociedad porque, no lo olvidemos, los seres humanos somos seres sociales<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>El primer paso para disfrutar de una buena salud mental es <strong>aceptar que la<\/strong> <strong>frustraci\u00f3n<\/strong> la ira, el miedo, la incertidumbre o la tristeza son emociones naturales y que, tarde o temprano, van a <strong>formar parte de nuestra vida<\/strong>. Eso s\u00ed, si cuando nos toca enfrentarnos a estos <strong>sentimientos negativos<\/strong> lo hacemos con una actitud positiva, evitaremos que se conviertan en un ancla que no nos deja avanzar. Como explica Cinthya, \u201c<em>la bibliograf\u00eda cient\u00edfica indica que las personas que tienen una mayor <strong>capacidad de adaptarse<\/strong> y afrontar las circunstancias estresantes de la vida, es decir, que m\u00e1s son <strong>resilientes<\/strong>, tienen un factor enorme de protecci\u00f3n frente a las <strong>enfermedades mentales<\/strong><\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Pero el <strong>equilibrio emocional<\/strong> no depende exclusivamente de aprender a <strong>gestionar el estr\u00e9s<\/strong> porque todas las partes del cuerpo humano est\u00e1n relacionas e interconectadas y se comunican entre s\u00ed constantemente. Cinthya lo confirma: <em>\u201c<strong>existe una relaci\u00f3n directa y bidireccional entre los planos emocional y f\u00edsico<\/strong>. Por eso, las enfermedades de la esfera f\u00edsica se proyectan a nivel emocional, y viceversa\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>La buena salud emocional depende, y mucho, de los <strong>h\u00e1bitos de vida<\/strong>: cuanto m\u00e1s saludables sean estos, mejor ser\u00e1 aquella. Seguir una <strong>dieta sana y equilibrada<\/strong>, rica en frutas y verduras de temporada, cereales integrales, legumbres, semillas, frutos secos y algas y libre de alimentos ultraprocesados, harinas y az\u00facares refinados y alcohol, evita los <strong>altibajos emocionales<\/strong> y la neblina o la confusi\u00f3n mental. Practicar alguna <strong>actividad f\u00edsica moderada<\/strong> de forma regular es tambi\u00e9n un factor esencial que influye directamente en la salud mental y favorece el equilibrio cuerpo-mente. Al hacer ejercicio, el organismo segrega hormonas, como las endorfinas, la <strong>serotonina<\/strong> o la dopamina, que nos ayudan a <strong>liberar tensiones<\/strong> y controlar el est\u00e9s, reducen la ansiedad, favorecen el descanso reparador y aumentan los niveles de energ\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>Alcanzar todas las noches la fase de <strong>descanso reparador<\/strong> es fundamental porque es cuando el cerebro activa los <strong>mecanismos de limpieza<\/strong> para eliminar los desechos celulares, nos recuperamos del cansancio psicol\u00f3gico y fortalecemos las <strong>capacidades cognitivas<\/strong>. En cambio, cuando no dormimos bien, las toxinas se acumulan y pueden causar determinadas patolog\u00edas, como la demencia.<\/p>\n<p>La experta recomienda, adem\u00e1s, \u201climitar el consumo de informaci\u00f3n negativa, ser agradecido, conectar con los dem\u00e1s, <strong>ser altruista<\/strong> (cuando ayudamos a los dem\u00e1s, el organismo libera oxitocina, que nos genera placer y felicidad), practicar disciplinas mindfulness, centrarse en el presente, <strong>hacer planes a corto plazo<\/strong> y no abusar de las redes sociales. Por \u00faltimo, es importante prestarle atenci\u00f3n a los indicadores de salud mental, como una <strong>buena autoestima<\/strong>, la capacidad de adaptaci\u00f3n al entorno, unas buenas relaciones sociales, el buen humor o el <strong>optimismo<\/strong>.
