Ratcliffe<\/strong><strong>, <\/strong><strong>Gregg L Semenza<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>y\u00a0<strong>William G. Kaelin<\/strong>, ganaron el Premio Nobel de Medicina tras descubrir c\u00f3mo las c\u00e9lulas se adaptaban a una situaci\u00f3n de baja disponibilidad de ox\u00edgeno, y c\u00f3mo sus cambios para adaptarse a la nueva situaci\u00f3n beneficiaban al organismo en varios frentes.<\/p>\n<p>Justamente este es el principio de un nuevo tratamiento que incorpora SHA, la <strong>Terapia de Hipoxia Intermitente<\/strong>, y que consiste en alternar ciclos respiratorios de baja disponibilidad de ox\u00edgeno (hipoxia) con otros de mayor disponibilidad (hiperoxia) para promover las adaptaciones fisiol\u00f3gicas que resultan beneficiosas para las c\u00e9lulas.<\/p>\n<p>Las sesiones de terapia son relajadas.
