Seg\u00fan estudios de Harvard, Stanford y los NIH, una mayor diversidad microbiana se asocia de manera consistente con una mayor esperanza de vida saludable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Para explorar lo que nuestro intestino puede revelar sobre cu\u00e1nto y c\u00f3mo podemos vivir, la nutricionista Laura Jennings se reuni\u00f3 con la Dra. Desde el punto de vista funcional, nos centramos en la capacidad de producir \u00e1cidos grasos de cadena corta (AGCC)\u2014especialmente butirato\u2014, productos metab\u00f3licos de bacterias beneficiosas que act\u00faan como potentes reguladores de la inflamaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Las poblaciones con mayor longevidad suelen albergar abundancia de <\/span><b><i>Akkermansia<\/i><\/b><b>, <\/b><b><i>Christensenellaceae, Bifidobacterium<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, y miembros de las familias <\/span><b><i>Ruminococcaceae <\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">y<\/span> <b><i>Lachnospiraceae<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, microbios asociados con la regulaci\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica, el equilibrio metab\u00f3lico y la reducci\u00f3n de la inflamaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Por el contrario, niveles elevados de <\/span><b>TMAO (\u00f3xido de trimetilamina)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, un compuesto vinculado al estr\u00e9s oxidativo, se encuentran con frecuencia en personas con inflamaci\u00f3n cr\u00f3nica o salud intestinal comprometida.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>C\u00f3mo <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/shawellness.com\/es\/localizaciones\/sha-espana\/\"><b>SHA<\/b><\/a><b> mide y optimiza la longevidad intestinal<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En <\/span><\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/shawellness.com\/es\/localizaciones\/sha-espana\/\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SHA<\/span><\/i><\/a><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> siempre partimos de una conversaci\u00f3n<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,\u201d explica la Dra. Es mi h\u00e1bito de referencia para el intestino,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d afirma. \u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El ejercicio regular\u2014cardiovascular, resistencia, yoga\u2014tambi\u00e9n ayuda a recalibrar el sistema nervioso hacia un estado parasimp\u00e1tico y reparador<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La actividad f\u00edsica, adem\u00e1s, tiene un efecto directo sobre el microbioma: estudios muestran que la actividad moderada a intensa tres veces por semana durante ocho semanas puede incrementar significativamente la diversidad microbiana y enriquecer las bacterias productoras de AGCC.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En cuanto a la nutrici\u00f3n, enfatiza la diversidad vegetal\u2014\u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">comer el arco\u00edris<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d de fibras y polifenoles\u2014para nutrir bacterias beneficiosas y reducir la inflamaci\u00f3n. Los \u00e1cidos grasos omega-3 tambi\u00e9n desempe\u00f1an un papel clave en la integridad, resiliencia y juventud celular del intestino.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Otros disruptores ocultos<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El alcohol probablemente sigue en la lista<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,\u201d se\u00f1ala. \u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aumenta la permeabilidad intestinal, permitiendo que las toxinas ingresen al torrente sangu\u00edneo y desencadenen inflamaci\u00f3n sist\u00e9mica.<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los antibi\u00f3ticos, aunque a veces necesarios, pueden reducir dr\u00e1sticamente las bacterias beneficiosas y generar desequilibrios duraderos. Los alimentos ultraprocesados\u2014especialmente aquellos ricos en aditivos, emulsionantes y edulcorantes artificiales\u2014emergen como silenciosos impulsores de la inflamaci\u00f3n intestinal y del envejecimiento biol\u00f3gico prematuro.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>El futuro de la ciencia de la longevidad intestinal<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La frontera m\u00e1s emocionante<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,\u201d explica la Dra. Silva, \u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">es integrar los datos del microbioma en relojes epigen\u00e9ticos.<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los relojes epigen\u00e9ticos estiman la edad biol\u00f3gica a partir de patrones de metilaci\u00f3n del ADN. Combinados con la diversidad del microbioma, glucosa, l\u00edpidos y marcadores inflamatorios, podr\u00edan crear tableros de longevidad de precisi\u00f3n capaces de medir con exactitud la velocidad y la calidad de nuestro envejecimiento.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La composici\u00f3n y diversidad del microbioma parecen reflejar el ritmo del envejecimiento epigen\u00e9tico,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d explica. \u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ecosistemas ricos en bacterias productoras de AGCC\u2014como Akkermansia, Christensenella y Bifidobacterium\u2014se asocian con un envejecimiento biol\u00f3gico m\u00e1s lento, mientras que la disbiosis lo acelera.<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Pasos pr\u00e1cticos para un intestino orientado a la longevidad<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La Dra.
