Healthy Recipes: Special apple cake, your dessert for Valentine’s Day

The healthy recipe for today is something special: we want to propose you to cook a healthy dessert without sugar, hoping it will be useful to you as a different and original gift for your Valentine. We know that love is something that should be demonstrated every day, but it never hurts to celebrate special occasions like Valentine’s Day.
It’s a very simple, tasty and healthy recipe so we hope to encourage you and surprise your partner next Valentine’s Day with a delicious sugar-free apple pie with nuts.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup wholemeal flour
- 1 cup plain flour
- Pinch of salt
- ½ tsp soda yeast
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
- ¼ cup sunflower oil
- ¾ cup maple syrup
- 1 cup soy milk
- 1 cup chopped fresh apple
Extra ingredients:
- 1 cup chopped mixed nuts
- 1 tbp extra sunflower oil
- 1 tbp extra maple syrup
- 1 tbp extra wholemeal flour
- 1 tsp extra cinnamon powder
Instructions: Mix all ingredients for this Valentine dessert except the extras and the nuts. Pour into the mold and then top with the extra ingredients and chopped nuts. Preheat oven at 180ºC and bake for 55 minutes or until light golden. It is advisable to put a lids onto the mould to prevent nuts from burning.
And if you get a heart shaped mold… The better!
