After trying granola in different dishes at SHA, we asked our Chef at SHAMADI Restaurant for the homemade granola recipe, a mix of nuts and cereals, which is ideal for desserts and breakfast.
In SHA granola is usually served with desserts as (our version of) creme brulee, rice porridge and fruit cremes. But it’s also a great healthy snack!
With these simple steps it’s really easy to prepare homemade granola and bring it with you wherever you go.
½ cup sunflower oil
¼ cup molasses
¼ cup agave
¼ cup orange juice
½ cup walnuts
4 cups oatmeal
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ cup sliced almonds
1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and place them on an oven tray.
2. Introduce the tray in the oven and leave it for 40 minutes – 150ºC (don’t forget to stir every 10 minutes).
3. Remove it from the oven after 40 minutes, let it cold and pack it on a closed bag or jar to keep its properties.
You now have granola to add to your favourite foods!
