Stretch marks occur in the dermis, the elastic middle layer of skin that allows it to maintain its shape. However, when it constantly stretched, the dermis can break and this is when stretchmarks appear .
The skin does not return to its form conditionif it has been stretched very fast due to pregnancy, weight gain or extreme weight loss. Instead , it becomes decorated by a form of scarring called stretch marks.
Stretch marks often start off as reddish or purple ( which is the best time to treat ) , later becomes a part of the skin that looks brighter and gives the feeling of being striped in silver or white.
How to remove stretch marks effectively?
Unlike traditional treatments, Frax Dual (noninvasive laser) is used to stimulate new collagen growth and fill the stretch mark. Laser energy is absorbed into the dermal layer of the skin by stimulating the production of new collagen. As the new collagen thickens and plumps the skin and stretch mark disappears .
This laser treatment helps to blur and improve the appearance of a high percentage of these marks on the skin.
Additional precautions
To protect your skin after treatment , use a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher, avoid direct sunligh exposure for at least 3 months and wear a wide-brimmed hat under the sun .More information about how to get rid of stretch marks:
