If you’re planning on hosting a party, enjoying a family get together or simply having a few friends over on a Sunday afternoon, offering your guests the option of non-alcoholic Christmas cocktails is a good way to make sure that everybody can find something that they like.
Here are 4 delicious wintery drinks to get everyone in the mood for the upcoming festivities.
Ingredients
1/2 cup water
¼ cup rice syrup
1 inch piece of ginger sliced
Pinch sea salt
2 pears cut into bite-size pieces
4 cups apple juice
½ lemon, sliced
Generous pinch each of ground cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves
1/2 cup fresh cranberries
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Preparation
Combine the water, rice syrup, salt, 2 tablespoons chopped pears, and ginger in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Simmer for a few minutes, then strain out the solids and return the mixture to the pan.
Add the remaining pears, apple juice, lemon and spices. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Add the cranberries and vanilla, and reduce the heat to medium-low (the liquid should be simmering, not boiling). Let simmer for 5 minutes more. Serve hot in your favorite mugs.
Ingredients
1/2 cup almond milk
2 tablespoons pumpkin puree – can use a jar of pumpkin puree for babies
1 tablespoon rice syrup
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Generous pinch each of nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon
1 cup freshed brewed grain coffee such as yannoh
Cinnamon stick for garnish
Vegan whipped cream for garnish (optional)
Preparation
Place all the ingredients into a pan.
Heat on medium low flame until simmering.
Whisk well and pour into your favorite mug.
Serve hot with a garnish of cinnamon stick and vegan whipped cream.
A light bright drink for a wintery party
Ingredients
1 cup fresh or frozen raspberries, for garnish
1 clementine for garnish
2 cups fruit juice of choice
2 cups sparkling water
2 tablespoons lime juice, plus 4 wedges for garnish
Preparation
If using fresh raspberries, freeze them in a single layer for about 1hour..
Combine the fruit juice, sparkling water and lime juice in a pitcher. Divide among 4 glasses. Garnish with frozen raspberries, and clementine and lime wedges.
Ingredients
1/2 cup apple juice
½ cup water
1 tablespoon rice syrup
1 heaping teaspoon kuzu
Juice half a lemon
1 teaspoon fresh ginger juice
Preparation
Place the kuzu into the water and mix well. Make sure the water is cold.
Place the kuzu mixture and apple juice into a pan.
Heat on a medium flame, stirring constantly until the mixture begins to thicken.
Add the lemon, ginger and rice syrup. Bring to a boil, mix gently and pour into your favorite mug.
