Turmeric Latte Recipe

You will only need a few minutes to prepare this relaxing and healthy drink with digestive, depurative, and anti-inflammatory properties.

Drinking any hot drink instantly provides a pleasantly soothing effect. But this recipe also provides multiple nutritional and medicinal benefits. Turmeric and ginger are two plants from the same family whose roots produce two spices with a high purifying, digestive, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory power, and whose performance is enhanced when consumed together. Having been used for more than six millennia in Ayurvedic medicine, they improve digestion, soothe gastrointestinal problems, strengthen the immune system, activate blood circulation, accelerate the body’s purifying processes, prevent cellular ageing, help to reduce cholesterol and glucose levels in the blood and, as they have anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, help to relieve muscular and joint pain as well as certain skin conditions, such as psoriasis or eczema.

All the ingredients included in the recipes that come out of the SHA kitchens have been carefully chosen by our nutritionists for their therapeutic benefits. To increase both the absorption of the nutrients present in turmeric and their bioavailability, we add a pinch of black pepper, an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant spice that improves brain function. Finally, we add a touch of cinnamon, which adds a certain sweetness to the drink. Cinnamon increases cognitive abilities, promotes weight loss, is cardioprotective, and improves mood.

SHA tip: Although the turmeric latte can be consumed at any time of day, we recommend drinking it at night before going to bed, because of its powerful relaxing action.
