One of the secrets of the success of the SHA Method is its combination and coordination of effective natural therapies that have been practised for thousands of years with the latest scientific, medical and technological advances. And bioenergetic acupuncture is a prime example. As Amalia Rubio, head of the SHA Wellness Clinic’s Energy Unit, tells us, “this biomedical and integrative science combines the knowledge handed down by Eastern tradition with the principles of Western medicine, which is more mechanical”.
All our cells, tissues, organs and systems produce and need energy in order to perform biological processes. In traditional Chinese medicine, Qi is the vital energy that, when balanced, makes peak performance possible. This essential force flows through the body along specific channels, called meridians. In bioenergetics, Qi is the electrical frequency at which each organ and system works and the meridians are the body’s electromagnetic circuits. As Amalia explains, “bioenergetic acupuncture works by measuring the electrical resistance and polarisation at acupuncture points and meridians. It is scientifically proven that when the function of the structure of an organ or internal system changes, so does the electrical frequency of that meridian. These alterations can be caused by different factors, such as unhealthy lifestyle habits, an unbalanced diet, lack of physical exercise, poor sleep habits or the inadequate management of stress and emotions”.
SHA uses a range of devices and technologies, such as far infrared heat, bioresonance and bioelectrical neuroregulation, to measure the exact electrical frequency of the meridians and detect possible energy blockages in the organs and systems. “With the information and data obtained from the bioenergetic analysis, we produce an electromagnetic report that we give to the therapists so that they, through acupuncture, can rebalance the energy flow. This allows them to make a more specific, precise and personalised treatment, adapted to the specific needs of each guest. Better results are achieved by combining these two disciplines because acupuncture unblocks the circuits and electrotherapy recharges their frequency”, concludes Amalia.
