Our Director of our Wellness Area, Paulina Mercader, explains us why exercise is key to detoxifying our body.

Physical exercise stimulates proper functioning of your organs, which are key for eliminating toxins. The three most important organs for this are:

  • The Lungs
  • The Liver
  • The Skin

Every day we sweat about 10% of the water in our bodies. Sweating eliminates certain harmful substances and substances that we no longer need. It also improves the appearance of the skin by opening pores and flushing out impurities. These are some of the many benefits of sweating on a daily basis.

Breathing consciously while exercising is important for the health of our respiratory system. Inhaling facilitates the absorption of oxygen and exhaling eliminates the carbon dioxide that builds up as a result of our metabolism. Breathing properly can free us from many stresses, cleanse our lungs and remove unwanted particles from our bodies.

During the process of detoxification, we must remember to do moderate physical activity without stressing our bodies. Some good exercise routines include yoga, pranayama techniques or long walks through nature.
