As we approach the festive season, we’ve got some tips for you to enjoy the festivities without taking it too far.

We must always remember the three golden roles: quality, quantity and chewing.

Whenever possible, we should aim to choose good quality, organic, fresh, local and seasonal ingredients. We want to enjoy a meal and feel satisfied afterwards, that’s why we should chew the food as much as possible. This will aid digestion and will keep us from overeating.

So, how can we make family meals healthier? The easiest way, is by preparing some of the dishes ourselves, such as delicious salads, soups, a main dish with plant-based protein (for example seitan) and a healthy dessert (vegan custard, sugar-free nougat).

Another healthy alternative is preparing vegetable pâtés as a starter. We can use our creativity to make them more festive.

Following the festive season, you can detox your organism by eating a daikon and shitake broth or a simple and nourishing miso soup.

In addition, we will aim to keep ourselves active and do exercise (even if it’s just a daily walk).
