Our health and nutrition experts agree that in today’s society we tend to medicate more than necessary because we don’t know very well the multiple properties of certain natural products. However, some home remedies can be very effective and, best of all, they can be done easily at home.

Apple juice, in general, helps to relax your stomach and liver. Served hot, creates a relaxing and soothing feeling. The white kuzu starch is extracted from the roots of wild kudzu plant and is often used as a thickener in the preparation of soups, sauces, desserts and medicinal beverages. It contributes on toning intestinal wall, thus helping to relieve stomach pain and cramps.
This natural beverage helps to relax the mind and body and also contributes to the dispersion of the tension by overwork.
Agar-agar is a medicinal tea which acts as a mild laxative obtained from various kinds of seaweed converted into a powder which has virtually no flavor. It is noted for its high fiber content (about 80%) and its many minerals (calcium, magnesium, iron and potassium). In addition to aiding in our trips to the bathroom, it helps in strengthening the bones and gives a great feeling of satiety, which can be a great ally for weight loss.
Azukis are small red beans that have a high protein concentration and are low in fat. Azuki tea beverage is a very beneficial medicinal drink for the kidney function, as it stimulates the production of urine and strengthens the kidneys. Therefore, it should be taken when suffering from kidney disease as nephritis (kidney inflammation).
The lotus root is a long white root with many holes. As we told you in this post, traditionally known to help dissolve excess mucus in the lungs, bronchi, throat and nasal passages. Therefore it is a natural drink that is very good for people with respiratory problems such as asthma or suffering colds or flu.
To prepare it, follow the same process as for any infusion: boil the ingredients in water for as long as we deem necessary.
