Thirteen years transforming the lives of thousands of people
SHA Wellness Clinic celebrates its 13th anniversary as a world leader in health care and wellness.
After suffering for years from health problems that reduced his quality of life, taking the typical treatments that had no effect, Mr. Alfredo Bataller Parietti met a doctor who was an expert in therapeutic nutrition and integrative medicine. Thanks to the combination of a healthy diet with proven natural therapies and the latest advances in scientific medicine, he was able to restore his health and vitality. Amazed by this incredible improvement, he felt the need to share and spread this valuable knowledge.
And so, with the support of his family, Bataller Parietti created the SHA Integrative Method 13 years ago. This completely transformative experience approaches health not only as the absence of disease, but as an optimal state of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being, always in harmony with the environment.
Because at SHA we know that there is no planet B. Which is why respect for nature has been involved from the start, including in the construction of the building, which was adapted to the terrain to minimise the impact on the Sierra Helada Natural Park, a true paradise on earth with one of the best climates in the world. And in all these years we have continued to strengthen our commitment to sustainability, gradually reducing our consumption of plastic, paper, energy resources and water in order to reduce our ecological footprint. We have also set up reforestation days and environmental clean-up activities, created a charging point for our experts’ light electric vehicles to promote sustainable mobility and are in the process of replacing all light bulbs with LED ones. In short, we embrace our mission to be the change we want to see in the world.
But if there is one thing that perfectly sums up all of SHA’s values, it is undoubtedly our diet, which is based both on age-old principles adapted to modern life and on the recommendations of the World Health Organisation and the latest research from Harvard Medical School and the Cornell Nutritional Studies Unit. The result is healthy, energetic, sustainable, haute cuisine nutrition, made with organic, ecological, seasonal and locally produced food, which guarantees freshness, flavour and nutritional value. This reduces the pollution caused by the transport of goods and the energy consumption required for cold storage. In fact, last year we used almost 80 kilos of food and aromatic plants from our organic garden. SHA recipes do not use dairy products or red meat, two of the most polluting food industries. In addition, we defend conscious consumption and movements such as zero waste, because food waste not only has an economic cost, but also a social impact.
At SHA we combine disciplines that have been practised for millennia, such as yoga, meditation and pranayama breathing techniques, with new generation regenerative therapies, such as platelet-rich plasma and stem cells, and the latest neurological treatments developed by NASA and Harvard Medical School, such as Photobiomodulation and Transcranial Stimulation. Because fusing the best of the past with the best of the present is a cornerstone for enjoying optimal health at any age. Finally, and always looking to the future, in 2023 we will export the SHA Method to the United Arab Emirates and Mexico because we want to bring our healthy lifestyle to as many people as possible. We are convinced that these 13 years are just the beginning of a global shift in mentality in which we want to participate and play a leading role.
