With the low temperatures of winter, the risks to catch a cold are higher. Flu and cold are usual and natural remedies become a good solution to prevent or treat some health disorders without being aggressive to our body with medicines.

Today, we want to show you a natural cold remedy that can be prepared at home in just 3 minutes to treat colds but also other diseases: It’s called Umeshokuzu.

Umeshokuzu, a 3-in-1 product

Umeshokuzu is made of 3 typical ingredients of the Asiatic food, all of them with numerous benefits.

  • Umeboshi plum: this is a plum, used for cooking but also as a medicine in all East Asia and especially in Japan. It is rich in proteins, minerals, calcium, iron, phosphorus

  • Shoyu: It is a soy sauce obtained from soybean ferment with roasted wheat grains, water and salt. Its flavor is milder than any other soy sauces because it contains less soy and salt. It has lots of proteins, calcium and iron.
  • Kuzu: an extracted starch from the roots of a China-native plant. It is used to treat instabilities in the digestive system.

What is umeshokuzu used for?

Umeshokuzu is recommended in case of diarrhea, constipation, allergy, general weakness, lack of energy and digestion problems… But it is also a good natural cold remedy.
