Probably you’ve heard about chia seeds because, although it has been a widely consumed food by ancient civilizations in Mexico, today it has become one of the most popular superfoods. Why are these small seeds so important? Here we present some of their most important properties and benefits for health that surely they will end up convincing you.

Chia seeds contain 2 times the amount of potassium in bananas, 3 times more antioxidants than blueberries, 3 times more iron than spinach, 2 times more proteins than any other seed, 5 times more calcium than milk. In addition, they are a source of magnesium, copper, niacin, zinc and other vitamins.

You can also consume them with vegetables, milks, yoghurts, salads, soups, sauces, etc. Besides that, you can buy them in ground form and include them in your desserts.
