A special gift for our Planet Earth

We all want to live longer and better, and that entails changing habits and the way we look after our health so we can be as well as possible and enjoy special moments with loved ones. But, first we must look after the home that gives us shelter, being more aware of our actions and giving our planet the appreciation and loving care it deserves.

At SHA we firmly believe that for substantial change to take place, we have to behave differently and together, so this year we’ve decided that the Christmas gift we usually send out to more than 500 friends and partners during the festive season will be replaced by an extraordinary gift for our planet Earth. We’ll be sending the money we would have spent on Christmas gifts as a special donation on everyone’s behalf to the Environmental Defense Fund.

This global organisation has been working for more than 50 years on contributing smart and lasting solutions to issues that concern us all, such as climate change, the health of our oceans, energy efficiency, ecosystems, wildlife and the effect all these factors have on human health.

With this donation we’re supporting the REDD+ project, which focuses on the protection of tropical rainforests in countries like Brazil and Mexico, and of the indigenous people who live in these areas. The project supports specific actions promoting conservation, sustainable management and increased carbon reserves.

We’d like to thank everyone involved in this initiative and we’re confident that this proves we can do things properly and gift our planet a healthier and more prosperous future.
